este pez se caracterisa por tener la cabeza muy grande ojos saltones,los machos se caracterizan por su ojo de la cola el cual es grande y la hembra se caracteriza por poceer el ojo un poco mas pequeño por lo general la hembra es mas grande que el macho la reproduccion se lleva a cabo luego de un aparejamiento el cual consiste en que el pez busca la pareja que le guste por lo general la hembra es la que decide con quien apariarse.
